Welcome to Healey House

Healey House was built in 1802 and has been the family home of the Brooke family, who have been wool cloth makers since 1541- the oldest family business father to son in the UK.

The house has recently been sensitively restored by the family to provide a classical period property with 21st century amenities, including a new kitchen, 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and full central heating. It can sleep up to 18 people.

The house lies in a secluded valley and is set in 30 acres of mixed woodland and meadows. A perfect place to have a houseparty to celebrate with family and friends, you will be able to enjoy the unique atmosphere of peace and tranquillity which the house affords as a sanctuary away from the busyness of modern life.

Three generations of artists have lived in the house and some of the water colours on the wall have inspired the choice of the bedroom names , each named after a garden flower. Work by these artists adorn the walls.

The house is available for filming feature films and TV dramas. It was recently used as a Period Victorian Railway Investor’s house in the ITV period drama “Jericho”.

The house is ideal for Businesses who wish to do team building over a few days. There is a drop down screen in The Red Room.
